What does Kus Digital do?
Kus Digital is a web design studio based in the Helderberg, Western Cape. We design and build fast, elegant websites, create brand identities, build booking-ready sites for local service businesses, and look after your site after launch.
Where are you based, and who do you work with?
We are based in the Helderberg and work with businesses in Somerset West, Strand and Gordon's Bay, as well as clients across South Africa. We work with a small number of clients at a time, so you deal directly with the person building your site.
Do you work with clients outside South Africa?
Yes. We are based in the Helderberg, but a website is built online, so we work with businesses in other countries as well. We can stay in touch by WhatsApp, email or video call, whichever suits you best.
What is the Starter Kit?
It is a one-on-one package for people who have a business or an idea and are not sure where to start. We build your brand and a starter website with you, set up your Google and social profiles and first ad campaigns, and teach you how to run and update it all yourself. Most people finish in 4 to 8 weeks, depending on their needs. Message us on WhatsApp for a quote.
What does 'Demo my site' mean?
Before we start, we can build a working demo of your homepage so you see your own business in a real design instead of imagining it. Tap 'Demo my site', tell us about your business and we will take it from there.
How much does a website cost?
Cost depends on the number of pages and the features you need. Features such as a booking system or an online store are quoted separately, based on complexity. Message us on WhatsApp and we will give you a clear quote.
How long does it take to build a website?
It depends on the number of pages and how quickly we receive your content and feedback. After our first working session we will give you a realistic timeline, and you get a staging link early so you can watch the site come together.
What is included in a website?
Every site includes custom design, a layout that works on desktop, mobile and tablet, a contact form and Google Map, a professional header and footer, a WhatsApp button, SEO set-up (alt tags, meta tags and keywords), submission to Google and security.
Will my website work on phones?
Yes. We design mobile-first, because most local searches happen on a phone, and then scale the design up to tablet and desktop.
Do you look after the site after it launches?
Yes. Our Ongoing Care service covers hosting, updates, performance monitoring and support, so your site keeps working after launch day.
Can you add online booking or an online store?
Yes. Custom features like booking systems and online stores are quoted separately, based on complexity. Tell us what you need and we will advise on the simplest way to do it.
Will my site show up on Google?
We build every site with search engines in mind and submit it to Google. Rankings depend on many things, including competition and your content over time, so we never promise a position, but we make sure the foundations are right.
